Your responsibilities

We are looking for a Financial Controller that will be the driver for financial insights in different projects in the country, including construction projects, Digital projects, Transformation projects and Country initiatives. You like to interact with people and want to take the lead. You take initiative and pro-actively engage with project managers. With your insights, you will help project managers, portfolio owners and the management team to keep control over costs which is crucial for steering our business. As a Financial Controller for projects, you will be in the lead for reporting and follow up on the financial performance of these projects working closely together with the business stakeholders, business navigation and accounting.

Next to this, you will also be in the lead for improving our procure to pay process. This involves the onboarding of PO compliance and SAP Ariba in the country. You will work closely with Procurement and the Accounting team to improve our current way of working. You will interact and meet many people in this role and guide them in this process. Furthermore, you will set up and guide the accounting team to enhance a proper follow up process. This also includes creating Power BI dashboards to follow up on KPI’s.

Your background:

• - Have a bachelor/master degree in Accounting & Control, Business Administration, Finance or a related field with 1-4 years work experience within Accounting/Controlling/Business Navigation.
• - Have knowledge of Dutch GAAP, statutory and regulatory reporting and knowledge to provide support in an auditing process.
• - Have knowledge of financial and operational processes (the interdependencies and how to manage them) and tools for accounting and reporting.
• - Have knowledge of measuring, processing and communicating financial information in compliance with internal and external regulations and ensuring value for money in reaching business objectives and profitable growth.
• - Are experienced with applying new organizational policies and procedures to assess, mitigate, ensure appropriate internal controls and communicate risks to the organization.
• - Show good knowledge of project management processes including methods and tools; and how to integrate them in everyday work.
• - Show good understanding of data science, analytics, data visualization tools and new technologies to secure a predictive and value-adding finance and accounting function.
• - Are motivated to work agile, open to the change and apply learning to perform successfully under new or first time conditions 
• - Are able to create and implement change initiatives and energized to manage stakeholders to achieve goals in a changing environment
• - Are able to communicate confidently and clearly in English & Dutch
• - Pre but not a must: knowledge of SAP Ariba Guided Buying
